Followers of Jesus or as the Bible calls them, Christians, believe that He is the Son of God; that He lived a perfect life; that He died for our sins and that He defeated death by rising again to life. Because of this we can have a personal relationship with a holy God since all of our sins have been forgiven through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Therefore, we have confidence that we will spend eternity with Him in heaven after we die. The Bible explains it this way: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Why We Exist
Step Into the Light
Are you searching for something more in life? If so, this is a safe space to discover the truth about Jesus Christ. Jesus is not about religion, but relationship. Rules and regulations only lead to the fear that you'll never be able to measure up. But Jesus said: "Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27) Religion can never bring assurance of salvation with God because there is no certainty that religion works. Will religion eventually get me to heaven? The Bible says no. And so does Jesus.
Why It Matters
Miracles Are Happening
Something phenomenal is happening with Muslims around the world today. God is showing the people of Islam how much He loves them. He is visiting them personally. Have you ever had a dream about a man in a white robe? Or do you know someone who has? You’re not alone. Jesus is revealing Himself to Muslims around the globe by coming to them in dreams and visions and stirring their hearts in many ways. And there’s even more good news about Jesus. He is alive and wants a personal relationship with you.
Common Questions
Is Jesus just a prophet like Muhammad?
Jesus prophesied many things while He was on the earth. However, Jesus is different from Muhammad because He claimed to be the divine Son of God—meaning He was fully God. John 10:30 supports this claim where Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.” Jesus also lived a sinless life that is unique and unmatched by anyone who has ever lived. “Because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps. ‘He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth.’” (1 Peter 2:21-22)
Who is Jesus?
Jesus Christ is God’s Son, the Savior of the world, who willingly came to earth to deliver you from sin and death. He is also the King of kings and Lord of lords who will return in victory in the future. The Bible states that Jesus is both fully God and fully man: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” (John 1:1) Jesus is the Word who said: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:28)
Did Jesus Die?
Jesus died a horrible death on your behalf as the full payment for your sins. He was nailed to a cross and after hours of terrible suffering was pronounced dead. He was taken down from the cross and buried in a tomb. Three days later He burst forth from that tomb and rose from the dead! “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.” (Matthew 28:6)
What can Jesus do for me?
Jesus will change your life from the inside out. When you believe in Jesus Christ you will be filled with the Holy Spirit. “The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” (John 14:26) Jesus offers you a full and hope-filled life. “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10) He also offers you peace for a troubled heart. “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)
How do I have a personal relationship with Jesus?
The Bible says that “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9) It is a simple, yet profound truth. When you ask Jesus to forgive your sins and be the Savior of your life, God forgives you completely, and makes you a new creation. (2 Corinthians 5:17) When this happens, you have a personal relationship with Jesus and don’t have to earn your own salvation. The Bible states it this way: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Will I go to Heaven if I believe in Jesus as my Savior?
Yes! The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, and whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) This means that when you trust Jesus to be the Savior of your life, you will live with Him in heaven forever!
Are there other ways to get to Heaven?
No. Jesus is the only way to heaven. In John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Another verse states, “If you do not believe that I am He, you will indeed die in your sins.” (John 8:24) The apostle Peter wrote, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
Don't Christians worship 3 Gods?
The Bible does not teach that there are three gods or that one God wears three different masks. Instead, the Bible teaches that there is one God who exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This is called the Doctrine of the Trinity. Matthew 28:18-19 presents the Trinity this way: “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…’” God gives us an example of how two beings can be joined together in the creation story. Unified as one in marriage, Adam and Eve functioned as distinct and separate persons, though Eve was formed from Adam’s rib. “A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 1:24)
What is the Bible?
The Bible is the holy book that followers of Jesus read. It contains 66 different books written by 40 different people over 1500 years. There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament which beautifully tie together. All of the writers were directly inspired by God to record His exact words. Reading the Bible is crucial to know God better and to live in a way that honors Him.
Has the Bible been corrupted?
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written. God wrote it through human authors over several centuries, yet it remains cohesive and consistent in theme from Genesis to Revelation. It is a divinely written miraculous book that produces growth in believers and brings light to the world. It is the power of God that produced it, protects it, and propagates it around the world to be the true Bread of Life for all.
Many people are taught that the Bible is corrupt because there are several Bible translations and because of multiple authors. Some have even tried to prove that the Bible is wrong throughout history, but in all of their searching they still have not been able to find mistakes. If you believe it is corrupt, we encourage you to read it and find out for yourself. You can start reading anywhere, but we suggest you begin in the Gospel of John in the New Testament.
Why is the Bible so important?
The Bible is so important because it is the direct word of God for all mankind. 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All scripture is God-breathed and is used for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Does God answer prayers?
Are you sick of feeling like your prayers are going unheard? Jesus hears and He cares about you. Did you know that God is aware of the most sensitive concerns of your heart and He wants to meet your deepest needs? Jesus is inviting you to believe in Him and to pray for those things that weigh heavily upon you, touting that His wisdom is higher than ours. He says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
How do followers of Jesus pray to God?
Jesus taught that you can pray to God at any time or in any place. There is no need to face a certain direction for prayer or go to a particular location. Instead, Jesus made a way for you to pray to God directly like a one-on-one conversation. You can pray aloud or inside your head and God will hear your prayers. “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)
Why does God allow bad things to happen in the world?
God did not create suffering. He is not pleased when we suffer. Suffering entered the world when man and woman rejected God’s plan back in the Garden of Eden. When that happened all of creation became separated from God and infected with the consequences of sin. Bad things happen around the world as a result of human sin not because God wants it. God gave us a free will to choose or reject Him. By choosing Him through Jesus Christ we are given a new life spiritually even though we must still live in a broken world until Jesus returns to make all things new. Revelation 21:4 promises, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
